Description

Avoiding conflict and creating a culture where being liked is more important than being respected can lead to lack of accountability in a team. As a result, staff produce low-quality work, miss deadlines, and engage in passive-aggressive conflict, causing team productivity to plummet. Learn how to create a culture of accountability in your organization, and enhance your leadership skills in the areas of communication, productivity, collaboration, accountability, and performance.

This is a recording of a live webinar held on May 23, 2019, Part Three of the EXP Speaker Series: Team Leadership Essentials.

Dr. Jim Sellner, Ph.D., DIPC.

Executive Vice President, People Analytics & Talent Activation, VIVO Team Development

With over 40 years experience working with and training over 3,000 entrepreneurs and business leaders, Jim’s sole purpose is to Bring Out the Genius in People. Jim is the author of more than 1,600 articles and three amazing books including “Leadership for Einstein’s: Bringing Out the Genius in People While Becoming Great Ourselves.”

Jim was originally trained and worked as a city planner, and was on faculty at the University of British Columbia. Then he went on to obtain an MA and PhD in psychology.

Dr. Jim was in private practice for 21 years before starting a business that grew to $1.2M. Early in life, Jim realized that relationships are everything, and hold endless possibilities – to be good, bad, ugly or beautiful. He also realized that the main reason relationships sour, whether in business, friendship or love, is incompetence. Time and time again, Jim has seen first hand what you get when you put a group of interpersonally incompetent people on a team and let them loose: an expensive mess. Jim cleans up messes (hopefully before they happen) by building Vivo Team learning content and focusing on team and individual applications that help teams become more interpersonally effective.
