This program offered an opportunity to connect with and learn best practices from leaders with experience in member engagement at the chapter level. Volunteer experts focused on reaching new audiences, such as students and emerging professionals, and practicing inclusivity for newcomers and longtime peers.

Emily Conn has a passion for people and helping them recognize what they value to create empowering spaces. She is a past Student Rep to the board and is currently the Communications Director for the ASID Carolinas Chapter. She loves the challenges presented within the industry as well as the opportunity for community involvement.

Britt began her design career as a decorative painter. Her love of color and texture is reflected in many different facets of her work in homes and offices across the country. An honors graduate from the New York School of Interior Design, she began her work in a Manhattan-based boutique design firm, then moved on to start her own business, Britt Newman Design Concepts LLC. Launched in 2007, BNDC has made its mark in everything from large, full-scale residential projects and church sanctuaries, to smaller, more intimate spaces, including executive offices and bachelor pads. As an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers, the National Kitchen and Bath Association (NKBA), and the National Association of Professional Organizers (NAPO), Britt brings to the table a unique set of combined skills that provide clients with living spaces that are both beautiful and functional.
Lynn Vogeltanz, ASID, NCIDQ

Lynn Vogeltanz earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Mary College in Interior Design. Since graduation, Lynn has focused her energy on the creating spaces, developing relationships, and servicing the design community. Her first position was an interior designer at Schroeder Solution where she focused on corporate spaces, and she then spent almost 14 years at Direct Supply. Lynn was dedicated to improving communities for seniors, their families, and caregivers as an interior designer and then as a team lead. During this time, she served the profession as the ASID Wisconsin Chapter President, and as Director at Large on the ASID National Board of Directors. Her career path took a new direction when Lynn accepted a position with EF Contract Flooring as Account Executive. Lynn partners with designers, architects, dealers, and end users to help provide the best flooring solutions to make their projects successful. She continues to be active in the local design community by working with professional associations and colleges as she fulfills her national committee roles with ASID. Currently, Lynn is Co-Chair of the ASID Wisconsin Chapter Government Affairs Committee, where they succeeded in passing Stamp and Seal Legislation in Spring 2022.

Benjamin trained in England, obtaining a BA Hons from Kingston University. After several years working at a London boutique architectural firm, he became the youngest associate in the firm’s history. In 1987 he moved to New York and founded his own interior design studio. In the 34 years since founding his studio, Benjamin has fully renovated a great variety of properties for his clients, including Hamptons houses, a 15-bedroom ski chateau, brownstones, numerous Manhattan apartments, and an art gallery. Benjamin has also trained and taught at a wide variety of Feng Shui Schools, developing and practicing his unique style of Feng Shui. Benjamin has a long history of volunteering within the New York interior design community in a wide variety of roles with ASID and Interior Designers for Legislation in NY (IDLNY). In addition, he co-chaired the CIDQ Committee that developed the NCIDQ Ambassador program. As former president of the ASID Metro New York Chapter (2020-21), he now serves as an advisor on the FY22 Chapter Support Team and is the chair of the Ethics & Professional Responsibility Committee of the ASID Advocate by Design Council.
