Ngozi Brown, ASID, AIA, NCIDQ, NCARB, NOMA, M. Ed., LEED® AP ND, EDAC, GPCP

Ngozi Brown is both an NCIDQ-certified interior designer and a licensed architect. She is also a faculty member at the Fay Jones School of Architecture and Design at the University of Arkansas, where she has taught third-year design studio and a professional elective about spaces of confinement (prisons, ICE facilities, internment camps). Brown is EDAC-certified, and her expertise includes environmental psychology, learning environment design, and evidence-based design. She is a 2019 ASID Ones to Watch Scholar and a Magna Cum Laude graduate of Tuskegee University, an HBCU, where she completed her Bachelor of Architecture degree. She also received a Master of Education degree from Concordia University -Portland. She is certified by the United States Green Building Council as a LEED Accredited Professional with a specialty in Neighborhood Design, and is certified by the Green Building Initiative as a Guiding Principles Compliance Professional.  

Mary Knopf, FASID, LEED AP B+DC, ALEP

Mary is a principal at ECI, an architectural, planning and design firm in Anchorage, Alaska.  She is a Washington State University graduate, practicing commercial design in the state of Alaska for 35 years.  Mary has extensive interior design experience in the areas of education, retail, office, hospitality, healthcare, and public spaces.  She is a proponent of inherently sustainable design practices utilizing products and materials that create healthier living and working environments. 

A past National ASID Board of Directors member, Mary is currently serving on The Washington State University Interior Design Advisory Board, BOMA Anchorage Board of Directors, Alaska GPAC, Alaskans for Sustainable Heathcare Costs Board of Directors, is Co-Chair of the ATHENA Scholarship committee.

Melissa Pribyl, ASID, NCIDQ, WELL AP, CHID, CDT

Melissa Pribyl was born and raised in Anchorage, Alaska, where the people and places influenced her to become equally passionate about sustainable design practices and increasing the wellness of interior spaces. With more than 10 years of design experience, she enhances the way the interior environment interacts with individuals, believing that the people are the heartbeat of the place. Both personally and professionally, Melissa aims to create environments that help people reach their potential and thrive and is committed to mentorship, volunteerism and wellness advocacy. With a passion to create and a dedication to her studies, Melissa earned a bachelor’s degree in Interior Design from Northern Arizona University. 

Vincent G. Carter, FASID, NCIDQ

Vincent G. Carter is currently Deputy Director of Real Property for the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and has been with DHS since 2009. Prior to this role, he was with DIA (Defense Intelligence Agency), The World Bank, Vincent G. Carter Associates, Louis Berger Group, McKissack & McKissack, KCCT Architects, Howard University, Marymount University and the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA).  

Vincent is a long-time interior design legislative advocate., and he serves on the CIDA Board of Directors. 

Toni Gocke Wyre, FASID, Assoc. AIA, LEED AP, WELL AP (Moderator)

Toni Gocke Wyre is a commercial interior designer specializing in education, healthcare, and corporate interiors and was recognized as one of Arkansas Business' Top 40 under 40 Professionals in 2013. Over the last decade, her work has received over 36 regional design awards, crossing all sectors, from residential and corporate to hospitality, healthcare, and education. In July of 2018, she was selected to be an International WELL Building Institute (IWBI) Global WELL concept advisor after being the first in Arkansas to achieve her WELL AP accreditation. In the Fall of 2020, Toni transitioned to a part-time/consultant role with Polk Stanley Wilcox Architects and joined UCA, The University of Central Arkansas, as a full-time instructor of interior design in their CIDA-accredited program.
