Description
Custom design doesn’t have to mean chaos. Learn how digital tools—from 3D capture to BIM—can bridge the gap between design intent and real-world execution. This session explores how to deliver bespoke elements with confidence, even amid imperfect site conditions. Through real case studies, discover how to collaborate with fabricators, reduce waste, manage costs, and enhance creativity through “digital craftsmanship.” Even small teams can leverage these tools to create big impact.

As a registered architect and interior designer, Liz Cordill Aguilar provides exceptional leadership to her company's strategic direction. In 2014, after 12 years of practice in architecture and interior design, Liz and her partner founded a fabrication company whose goal was to bridge the gap between the design and manufacturing industries by leveraging cloud computing and robotic fabrication to make custom architectural products more accessible to the design industry. Liz holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Geography and Master of Architecture degree from the University of Texas at Austin and currently serves as the chief operating officer of māk studio in Houston, Texas.

American Society of Interior Designers
David Euscher is FY25 Chair of ASID’s National Board of Directors, guiding the organization’s governing body and providing strategic and financial oversight. An award-winning designer and lecturer, he advances education and awareness on the intersection of culture, technology, and design. Based in Houston, David also serves on the advisory boards for the interior design programs at Houston Community College and Sam Houston State University.

This CEU is registered with the International Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) for continuing education credits. This credit will be accepted by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), International Interior Designers Association (IIDA) and Interior Designers of Canada (IDC).
