Susan Chung, Ph.D., focuses on the impact of design research. She connects design with research to improve human experiences in the interior environment, translates research into applicable design implications, and conducts research projects that create meaningful positive impacts. She comes from an interior design background, holding a BA from Michigan State University and an MID from the University of Florida. She integrated interior design with behavioral research for her doctorate degree in Human Behavior and Design at Cornell University, with a focus on design attributes related to creativity in workplace environments.

Dr. Ellen Fisher, a Certified Interior Designer with graduate degrees in teaching with technology and architectural studies, is dean and VP for Academic Affairs of NYSID, where she has led the college through a period of growth and increased prestige. A Fellow of ASID and of the Interior Design Educators Council, Dr. Fisher was recently awarded a Steelcase Social Innovation Fellowship and is creating a PreCollege program to increase diversity in the design profession. She is the author of the seminal book, “HOME: Foundations of Enduring Spaces,” and has been named by DesignIntelligence as a Most Admired Design Educator.

Laura received her BS in Civil Engineering from Southern Methodist University and her MFA in Interior Design from Savannah College of Art and Design. After several years designing corporate projects, she founded Laura McDonald Enterprises and PLiNTH & CHiNTZ, the interior design blog and industry resource. For almost 10 years Stewart also managed METROCON Expo & Conference, the annual two-day event in Dallas focusing on the built environment. She has served on the ASID National Board, currently serves as the I.T. Chair for the Texas Chapter, sits on four interior design department advisory councils, and was the recipient of the 2009 NCIDQ National Louis S. Tregre Award.
