The Impact of Touchpoints on Volunteer Recruitment (New York Metro)

Revitalize your leadership development efforts to build a strong volunteer pipeline.

If your chapter faces a shortage of volunteers ready and willing to step up to leadership positions, you are not alone. Before the pandemic hit, the New York Metro chapter was challenged with a shallow leadership pool due to a dwindling pipeline of volunteers in line to serve on their board. The problem was exacerbated during COVID, when the lack of in-person networking events made it even more difficult to engage volunteers and identify potential leaders. Hear how they developed a plan to ensure the ongoing strength of their volunteer pipeline through engaging virtual events, an inclusive structure, leveraging National Volunteer Week, and targeted outreach and communications.
