Patty Dominguez is the Vice President of Business Development for Cosentino Americas, responsible for generating business development in all commercial channels and playing a pivotal role in Cosentino’s growth strategy for the coming years. She also spearheads the brand’s entry into new revenue streams, including residential and commercial furnishings. Throughout her 17-year tenure with the manufacturer, Dominguez has played a pivotal role in elevating the brand by strategically cultivating deep relationships and new business opportunities that have led to the company’s exponential growth in the United States. Currently, the market represents more than 60 percent of the company’s global sales.

Dr. Dawn Haynie offers a distinctive, interdisciplinary approach to design. She has extensive experience as a researcher, practitioner, and educator across the disciplines of urban design, architecture, interiors, and graphic design. Her work combines research-based strategies with the lessons learned though her years of professional practice to enhance the spatial experience. As the Research Fellow for the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), she is managing the internal and external research on the interior design industry. She is also an adjunct professor at Georgia State University, sharing her interdisciplinary approach with students. Dr. Haynie has a Ph.D. in Architecture, Culture, & Behavior from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Architecture from Auburn University. Her research has been published and presented internationally, and she was recently recognized by ULI Atlanta in their inaugural 2020 class of The Leaders.

As the Senior Architect Product Specialist at Vectorworks, Luis brings over 30 years of architectural expertise to showcase Vectorworks' capabilities to architects and designers worldwide. He leverages his knowledge of BIM, 3D modeling, rendering, and, most recently, AI in his role. Ruiz conducts webinars and live presentations, speaks at tradeshows, and supports Vectorworks distributors with local industry events and demonstrations, all while paving the way for product innovations and developments at Vectorworks. Before joining Vectorworks, Ruiz worked as an architectural designer in New England and Mexico City. With his extensive experience, he has become a trusted resource for customers on a global scale. Luis earned a master’s degree in architecture from Universidad del Valle de Mexico. A pioneer in the industry since the early 90s, he has been using CAD software since the days of Claris CAD, Architron, and MiniCAD 3.

John credits his business sense and success to the training he received as a young professional through leadership roles in the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). He currently serves as the Chair of the FY2024 ASID National Board of Directors. John and Tom Stringer Design Partners have participated in the 1+ Program, donating the firm’s services and aligning his belief that Design Impacts Life with the firm’s work. John’s ASID involvement started as a student member and included positions on the ASID National Student Council. He was a member of the ASID National Board of Directors in 1994-1995 and again in 2019-2022. He has held leadership and board positions in two Chapters: ASID Florida South and ASID Illinois. John was named a Medalist of ASID in 2017 and elevated to Fellowship in 2019, an honor bestowed on less than 1% of the ASID membership.
This CEU is registered with the International Design Continuing Education Council (IDCEC) for continuing education credits. This credit will be accepted by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID), International Interior Designers Association (IIDA) and Interior Designers of Canada (IDC).
