She comes from an interior design background, holding a BA from Michigan State University and an MID from the University of Florida. She integrated interior design with behavioral research for her doctorate degree in Human Behavior and Design at Cornell University, with a focus on design attributes related to creativity in workplace environments.

    Leena Jain is the Chief Marketing Officer of Humanscale, the leading designer and manufacturer of ergonomic products that improve the health and comfort of work life. Leveraging her extensive experience in marketing, Leena brings an innovative spirit and unique approach to consumer engagement to her role at Humanscale. As CMO, she manages the company's brand identity, commercial marketing, and product launches on a global scale. Most recently, she led the launch of the Summa executive chair and expanded Humanscale's footprint internationally with significant presence at Salone de Mobile, Clerkenwell and CES.

    Leena is driven by her passion for products and brands that bring joy to consumers. Prior to Humanscale, Leena spent 12 years in the beauty industry at L'Oreal and worked on a variety of brands, including Ralph Lauren Fragrances, Pureology and essie nail polish. During her tenure at L'Oreal, she led the launch of many products across fragrance, hair care and cosmetics, rebuilt Pureology's brand positioning and explored virtual try-on technology for a cosmetic line.     Laura Britt, ASID

    Health and wellness have been the focus of Laura Britt's design work over the span of her 28-year career. Her work is widely recognized for demonstrating modern responses to client needs incorporating a commitment to healthy materials, indoor air quality (IAQ), and overall quality of life.

    When designing her own residence, Laura researched and implemented creative design and technical solutions for healthier interiors, resulting in a LEED Platinum certification for her home. Laura has continuously pushed the boundaries of the status quo in both design and construction methodology.

    Laura's ongoing commitment to holistic design is evident in Britt Design Group's new office space, recently built and designed in accordance with WELL Building guidelines and soon to be WELL certified. This result is a healthy space for her team, that also serves to demonstrate that design directly impacts health and well-being.

    Phyllis Harbinger, FASID, CID

    Phyllis Harbinger, FASID, CID, is a professional interior designer, author, speaker, and educator.  Since 1993, she has successfully run her award-winning firm, Design Concepts/Interiors, LLC, serving commercial and residential clients worldwide.   

    In 2014, Phyllis published The Interior Design Productivity Toolbox, which streamlines processes and systems for interior designers, and also launched her business strategy and coaching business, providing a unique set of tools for designers, architects, and others in the design/build community.   

    Phyllis is a tenured adjunct assistant professor of Interior Design at the Fashion Institute of Technology (FIT), teaching Design Studio and Professional Practice for the past twenty years. She is a resident guest host of The Chaise Lounge and The Student Lounge podcasts.
